Mrs Monk purchased this book HELL at the BREECH by Tom Franklin at Orlando Airport in 2004, when we were homeward bound to London. She slowly absorbed the book and was motivated in due course to write this complimentary review on the Amazon web site, announcing her opinion of the book to the World Wide Web of book readers but not in fact sharing her opinion of the book with me.

Mrs Monk,..... Mrs S Monk..... Googled herself this week. Yes, we all do it once and awhile.

She was surprised to see her review of HELL at the BREECH by Tom Franklin, written in 2004 pop up and remind her of what she wrote in a whim of would-be journalistic comment offered for no gain, nor any expectation of any consequence, such as a Google listing.

Her revue of Hell, is flattering, of the book without being obsequious, even though she did compare it to Lord of the Rings, and Dickens.

There were just three comments by Amazon readers and alongside her review was a promotion for Mr Franklin's next book, Poachers, and then his most recent book published just this week with the surprising title SMONK.

We have not read the book yet but the character of Smonk, that gives the book its title is reported to be a dirty, limping, deformed, consumptive, syphilitic, hell raiser.
